Course Description:

This March Break, give your child the chance to create a character — and bring it to life in a beautiful, gallery-ready artwork.

Drawing House’s Character Creation Camp is a five-day, art adventure where imagination takes center stage. In the first half of the week, kids will design their own original character learning how to shape personalities, stories, and expressive designs through drawing.

Then, for the second half, the instructor will guide campers through a fun, exploratory process of using mixed media — including acrylic, watercolour, pastel — to reimagine their character on a wooden art panel. Kids will experiment, get messy (in a good way!), and come home with a fully realized piece they’re proud of.

What to expect:

• Build an original character from scratch — name, story, look, and style

• Daily drawing warmups, visual brainstorming, and creative storytelling

• Hands-on painting, mixed media, and collage techniques

• Create a final framed character artwork to take home

• A full week of creative thinking, connection, and artistic joy
