Costumed Life Drawing For Animation

Sunday Afternoons, January 27th to March 3rd (6 Weeks)

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Ages 11 - 19 (Maximum of 6 students)

$249.99 + HST (includes $75.00 Model Fee)

Teacher: Lori Salas

Course Description: This course teaches students the principles of animation involved in drawing directly from a live costumed model. This class is aimed at artists age 12-18 who are interested in creating more dynamic characters for their own illustrations, or who are planning to peruse animation in post-secondary animation programs.

You will learn the importance of distilling gestures into lines of action and simple shapes, creating strong silhouettes, extrapolating ideas from a pose rather than just anatomy, and finally, finding stories in your gesture drawing.
