Course Description:

Cartooning and Character Creation

Join veteran animator and cartoonist John Stuart for this fun class designed to help bring out your inner cartoon characters! This course is designed to give students an introduction to the skills required to create cartoon characters of their own, and place them in a background. Students will learn to rotate their character, and design a pose that fits within that character’s story. Each student will finish with an illustration of their character in a unique pose and environment. Skills taught will include: Foundation of perspective - space- scale, building a construction for a character, design and overall composition, planning colour to reinforce the theme for their concept drawing.
